Hunt the Good Stuff...

I came across this article today and I thought I would share it for all of you working mummas!

This article talks about Positive Psychology which "places a more balanced emphasis on the positive aspects of human nature: each person’s unique strengths, talents and offering to their world".

It suggests to "Hunt the Good Stuff (and you’ll notice more good stuff!)" rather than focusing on what isn't going your way, start looking for what is. We get so used to keeping score of all of the things that are going wrong that that is all we can see because the "human brain is wired to scan for threats". That may have been helpful centuries ago but it isn't so helpful in our every day lives.

But never fear, "Thought patterns are just like the physical muscles in our bodies – the more we use them, the stronger they’ll become", which means just like other aspects of our lives, we can work on this and strengthen our positivity. Cool hey!

What do you do to prevent or ease burn out? To be honest I usually nap, haha, no seriously I sleep more than I ever have. I think that could be because I was deprived for sleep for so long with too many munchkins, so I am making up for it now.
